THE PROGRAMM

Presentation

The PPG GETEC was created in 2007 to meet the demand for qualified professionals in the areas of industrial management and technology. The program aims to train researchers and professionals to work in strategic areas of companies, coordinating knowledge resources to promote changes in processes and products, with a view to improving the competitive conditions of national industry, always with an interdisciplinary vision.


The PPG GETEC is recognized with grade 5 by CAPES.

THE PROGRAMM

Development of knowledge in the areas of management and industrial technologies

The program focuses on the development of knowledge in the areas of management and industrial technologies, divided into lines of research in the areas of: management and industrial development (GDI), product development technologies (TDP) and engineering and process technologies (ETP). The PPG GETEC is continuously involved in its academic activities associated with RD&I projects with companies, generating possibilities and permanent stimuli for updating curricular structures, integrating different points of view and with a view to offering courses, scientific initiation and academic, technical, scientific and cultural exchange..

PROFESSIONAL MASTER'S DEGREE

The master's course curriculum is designed to give students a systemic view of the three lines of research that form the basis of the program. Thus, students must complete 150 credits distributed as follows:


  • Compulsory subjects - 9 credits
  • Optional subjects - 9 credits
  • Compulsory activities - 32 credits
  • Qualifying exam - 50 credits
  • Dissertation defense - 50 credits


In addition to the compulsory and optional subjects, students must be proficient in English and have a full article accepted in journals or events (national or international).

PROFESSIONAL DOCTORATE:

The curriculum of the doctoral course is designed to give students a systemic view of the three lines of research that form the basis of the program. Thus, students must complete 160 credits distributed as follows:


  • Compulsory subjects - 9 credits
  • Optional subjects - 9 credits
  • Compulsory curricular activities - 42 credits
  • Thesis project - 20 credits
  • Qualifying exam - 30 credits
  • Dissertation defense - 50 credits
